Connect ChatGPT desktop (the Codex app) to Semlith
How to connect ChatGPT desktop (the Codex app) to Semlith over MCP, the command or file that adds it, and how to check the connection works.
Every stanza writes
${SEMLITH_BIN} where the binary goes, the path which semlith prints. Set up your agent client explains it and the HTTP form.ChatGPT desktop (the Codex app) — OpenAI’s desktop app for macOS, Windows
(Microsoft Store) and Linux (a preview for Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora and Arch). Its
Codex reads the same ~/.codex/config.toml as the Codex CLI and IDE extension
(%USERPROFILE%\.codex\config.toml on Windows), so one registration serves all
three. With the Codex CLI installed, its registration covers the app; without
it, semlith setup --register-all appends the table below to that file on every
system. Quit and reopen the app after registering; /mcp in a Codex thread lists
the servers it started.
